Terms of Service
Last updated: June 11, 2026
1. Agreement
These terms govern your use of AI Teleprompter (the “Service”). By using the Service — with or without an account — you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
2. The Service
AI Teleprompter is a browser-based teleprompter that uses real-time speech recognition to follow your voice as you read a script. It requires a modern browser, a microphone, and an internet connection while presenting.
3. Free use and accounts
You may use the teleprompter on our landing page without an account, with scripts up to a stated character limit. Creating an account requires accurate information, and you are responsible for activity that happens under your account. One account per person; accounts may not be shared or resold.
4. Subscriptions and billing
- Paid packs renew monthly and include a set amount of speech time: 1 hour on Starter ($10/month), 30 hours on Creator ($20/month) and 100 hours on Pro ($50/month). Applicable taxes are shown at checkout.
- Payments are processed by Polar, our merchant of record. By subscribing you also agree to Polar’s terms.
- Usage is metered by microphone-active time: only the time the teleprompter is actively listening counts against your speech time. The microphone pauses automatically after 15 seconds of silence.
- Unused time does not roll over; your speech time resets at the start of each billing period.
- You can cancel anytime from the billing portal. You keep your remaining speech time until the end of the current billing period, after which the subscription ends and no further charges occur.
- If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at support@sayscroll.com and we’ll make it right.
5. Your content
Your scripts are yours. They stay in your browser and are never stored on our servers, and we claim no rights over them. You are responsible for the content you read through the Service and for having the rights to use it.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for unlawful purposes or in violation of others’ rights;
- probe, overload, disrupt, or circumvent the Service’s usage metering, limits, or security;
- resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties as your own offering;
- use automated means to access the Service other than its intended browser interface.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with a refund of any unused, prepaid period when the violation wasn’t willful.
7. Availability and accuracy
We work hard to keep the Service fast and reliable, but it is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Speech recognition is inherently imperfect: transcription accuracy and voice-following behavior are not guaranteed, and the Service depends on third-party providers (speech recognition, authentication, payments, hosting) whose outages are outside our control. Test your setup before any important recording or live event.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including lost profits, lost recordings, or failed presentations — arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
9. Changes to the Service or these terms
We may change or discontinue features, prices, or these terms. For material changes we will give subscribers reasonable advance notice by email or in the app; continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept it. Price changes never apply retroactively to a billing period you have already paid for.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Greece, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these terms limits any consumer rights you have under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
