Spanglish and mixed English–Spanish scripts
A Spanish script almost always carries English inside it — a product name, a quoted headline, a bilingual intro for a US Latino audience. Recognition transcribes what it hears, so spelling that mirrors speech tracks better than formal written Spanish.
- Numbers as words: "dos mil veintiséis", "quince por ciento" — not "2026" or "15%".
- Accents and the tilde are ignored for matching ("que" and "qué", "ano" and "año" behave the same), so a missing accent never stalls the prompter; keep them for your own reading.
- Abbreviations as spoken: "o sea", "por ejemplo" rather than "p. ej."; "IVA" as a word, "O-N-U" if you spell it.
- Regional words as pronounced: "parqueadero", "estacionamiento", "aparcamiento" all track — use your own.
- Short lines, one idea each, so the active word stays near the lens and an ad-lib re-entry is instant.
